A 6 part English-language documentary series that highlights the efforts of the Académie de Baseball du Canada (or ABC), a group of struggling female baseball players from Trois-Rivières, Québec. In an effort to qualify for the national championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia, these talented athletes head to Havana, Cuba to train with and play against the Cuban women’s national team in a cross-cultural sports exchange.
Despite language barriers, class differences, and on-field feuds, we come to learn how the mutual respect between Canada and Cuba can help the athletes achieve their sports dreams.
